From Frustration to Solution
In 2015, Andrew Kimmel left his role leading analytics at a national benefits consulting firm with a simple observation: brokers and consultants were making million-dollar recommendations based on outdated survey data, gut feelings, and incomplete market intelligence.
With angel investment from close friends, he set out to build something different, a platform powered by real, verified plan data. Not surveys. Not purchased datasets. Just actual benefits plans, validated through our proprietary compliance engine.
From day one, we made a deliberate choice: stay independent. No venture capital means we answer to our users, not investors. We can prioritize data quality over growth metrics, and build what benefits professionals actually need.
