Welcome Wakely Clients: What's New on Bnchmrk

A guide for Wakely benchmarking clients transitioning to the Bnchmrk platform.

2 min readBy Bnchmrk Team

If you're reading this as a former Wakely benchmarking client, welcome to Bnchmrk. We're glad to have you.

This post will help you get oriented on the platform and understand what's new compared to your previous benchmarking experience.

What's Familiar

The core mission is the same: give you reliable benchmarking data to guide employer benefits decisions. You'll still be able to compare plan designs, contribution strategies, and costs against relevant peers.

What's Different (and Better)

Larger dataset — Bnchmrk's database includes over 55,000 verified employer plans, significantly larger than most benchmarking sources. More data means more granular peer groups and more statistical confidence.

Continuous updates — Rather than annual or semi-annual refreshes, Bnchmrk data is updated continuously as new plans are validated. The benchmarks you see reflect current market conditions.

More plan types — Beyond medical, you can benchmark dental, vision, life, disability, and stop-loss—all in one platform.

State-level filtering — National and regional averages only tell you so much. Bnchmrk lets you filter by specific states or any combination of states to find your true peer group.

On-demand reporting — Generate reports when you need them, with the parameters you choose. No waiting for custom requests.

Getting Started

Step 1: Access your account You should have received login credentials via email. If not, contact our support team.

Step 2: Explore the filters Take a few minutes to experiment with industry, geography, and size filters. See how the benchmarks shift as you narrow the peer group.

Step 3: Generate your first report Pick a client and run a benchmark. The interface is intuitive, but don't hesitate to reach out if you have questions.

Step 4: Compare to your previous data You may notice some differences between Bnchmrk benchmarks and what you saw in the Wakely study. This is expected—different datasets, different methodologies. Bnchmrk data comes from verified plan documents, which sometimes yields different results than survey-based approaches.

Getting Help

Our support team is here to help with the transition. Whether you have questions about the platform, need help interpreting data, or want a walkthrough of specific features, just reach out.
